From his family

Dad was at the centre of a large and loving family. A devoted husband, dad, grandad and great-grandad, he leaves behind so many people who will carry him with them every day.

His strength, humour, and quiet way of doing things have shaped all of us in different ways.

He shared his life with Mum, and together they built a family that carries him forward. He was a devoted father, and we also remember Steven, who he lost far too young.

From grandchildren to great-grandchildren, his influence runs through all of us.

As his son, I've written this, but it comes from all of us who loved him.

Early life

From bakery beginnings to a life built on discipline, pride, and care for others.

Work and character

In the Royal Navy and beyond, he was known for calm standards, humility, and loyalty.

Family

A devoted husband, dad, grandad, and great-grandad who stayed deeply involved in family life.

Final reflections

In his final days he was sharp, smiling, and surrounded by love. He said goodbye peacefully.
